STOP VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN!

In yesterday's post, we brought into your attention the plight of a lot of girls who are regularly subjected to violence as well as the move of different governments to put a stop to it. Today, the Amnesty International is also calling for an end to violence against girls. The report specifically mentioned that girls should be protected and that “Governments are failing girls’ at the most basic level.

In a related development, activists are campaigning to call the world's attention to the fact that only one in four girls receive primary education in Somalia. The campaign is being launched in cooperation with UNICEF.
